Healthcare professionals
Clinical reliability, built together with practice
Everything you need as a rehabilitation physician, occupational therapist or treatment team to assess and deploy the EX-one — an arm support based on exoskeleton technology.
Clinical indications
Target group
The EX-one is a device for people with arm muscle weakness, indicated for arm function around Brooke Scale 3 with sufficient active trunk stability to functionally benefit from the support. So far the EX-one is mainly used by people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, but the EX-one is suitable for anyone who needs arm support — for example due to FSHD, SMA, Limb Girdle muscular dystrophy or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
Contraindications
- — Severe contractures in the shoulder or elbow
- — Pain complaints that don't allow for pressure contact on the arm or trunk
- — Significantly limited trunk mobility
- — Rapidly progressive disease course leaving no room for tailored guidance
